Board of Directors | Secretary

The NeuroEquity Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals through advocacy, education, and empowerment. We are currently seeking a Secretary to join our Board of Directors and play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and transparency of our governance.

Secretary Role Overview

As Secretary, you will oversee the organization’s record-keeping, support effective communication within the Board, and ensure compliance with nonprofit governance standards. Your contributions will directly impact The NeuroEquity Project’s ability to operate smoothly and achieve its mission.

  • Record and maintain accurate minutes of all board meetings.
  • Ensure the organization’s documents and records are securely stored and readily accessible.
  • Distribute meeting agendas and related materials in advance of board meetings.
  • Maintain and update organizational policies and procedures as needed.
  • Act as the point of contact for board communications and correspondence.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit governance or willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to advancing equity and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals.
  • Ability to attend quarterly board meetings (virtual and/or in-person) and collaborate between meetings as needed.

Time Commitment:
Approximately 5–10 hours per month.
