Join the Board of The NeuroEquity Project as Secretary

The NeuroEquity Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals through advocacy, education, and empowerment. We are currently seeking a Secretary to join our Board of Directors and play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and transparency of our governance.
Secretary Role Overview
As Secretary, you will oversee the organization’s record-keeping, support effective communication within the Board, and ensure compliance with nonprofit governance standards. Your contributions will directly impact The NeuroEquity Project’s ability to operate smoothly and achieve its mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain accurate minutes of all board meetings.
- Ensure the organization’s documents and records are securely stored and readily accessible.
- Distribute meeting agendas and related materials in advance of board meetings.
- Maintain and update organizational policies and procedures as needed.
- Act as the point of contact for board communications and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with nonprofit governance or willingness to learn.
- Commitment to advancing equity and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals.
- Ability to attend quarterly board meetings (virtual and/or in-person) and collaborate between meetings as needed.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 5–10 hours per month.
